ANNUAL UPDATE 2021-22

HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR SCHOOL YEAR

WHAT’S HAPPENED AT LREC THIS YEAR?

NEW LEADERSHIP TEAM

A devoted early childhood educator, Mrs Cole has taught our Kindergarten class for more than a decade, and overseen the expansion of our ECE programs to include nursery and day care classes. She’ served on the School Management Committee, before taking on the role of Head of Academic Affairs in 2020.

Joining her as Vice-Principal is David Dokie, a graduate of the African Bible College in Yekepa (far nothern Liberia). He’s been part of the LREC team since 2019, first as a teacher and later as a member of the School Management Committee.

A VISIT FROM THE DEAR FOUNDATION

It was wonderful to be able to meet with our colleagues and supporters from The DEAR Foundation not once, but twice this year! It’s a great chance to share our dreams and ideas for the future, and work through challenges together.

WE HOSTED WASSCE!

Every year, Grade 12 students across West Africa take their final examinations - a regionally standardised set of tests. For the third consecutive year, we’ve been selected to host students from other schools around the district, to ensure these exams are moderated appropriately and fairly.

ISSA SEMI-FINALS WIN

LREC soccer team qualified to the semi-final stage of the Inter-Schools Sporting Association league, winning 3 goals to 1, with student Christian winning 'Man of the Match.' Go LREC!

PTA SCHOOL BUS

The Parent-Teacher Association of LREC came together to purchase a school bus to provide a safe mode of transport for their children, some of whom come from as far away as Paynesville (14km) and Schiefflin (5km).

TODIA’S GOT TALENT

Todia, of Grade 9, came third runner-up in the recent Duazon's Got Talent Season 1.0, organized by Exzee Music Liberia. Congratulations Todia!

We are so grateful that Sue chose to be part of the LREC journey.
